I build high-trust ecosystems, and the commercial growth that follows.

Twenty years of commercial and general-management leadership across global media and financial institutions, from The New York Times to DBS Private Bank, plus a business of my own built from zero. I read what a market needs, build the structure, and turn it into growth.

The proposition

A zero-to-one builder who reads what a market needs, then builds the structure that serves it.

I have founded communities from scratch, turned loss-making ones around, and led an entire association through a governed consolidation into a broader ecosystem. My psychology training shows up as a facilitation method that earns senior trust quickly and surfaces the real issue beneath the polished one. I build ecosystems, not tasks.

Four chapters, one through-line.

Global brand and commercial building, an entrepreneurial hospitality venture, ultra-high-net-worth client experience, and community-led membership growth. Expand any chapter to go deeper.

A strategic community and engagement remit inside a global membership association, one continuous role since 2022 (originally DistriPress, transferred into WAN-IFRA on merger).

  • Rebuilt the member infrastructure from zero, making onboarding over 70% faster and lifting payment completion to 91%.
  • Grew participation 340% and social engagement over 3,100%.
  • Founded and lead four peer communities: AI in Media (flagship, around 800 members), Local Media Initiative (around 300, turned around from loss-making to €80,000 gross margin), Data Science Expert Group (around 200), and Future Audiences.
  • Initiated and drove the consolidation of DistriPress into WAN-IFRA, a full year of governed preparation, recognising a shrinking distribution niche and moving members into a broader journalism ecosystem to protect their value.
  • Delivered flagship live events, including Local Day in Copenhagen (2025) and Oslo (2026), and integrated webinars, forums, training, reports and awards into a coherent programme.
  • Finalist, International Association Executive of the Year (2024, International & European Association Success Awards).

The entrepreneurial counterpart to the institutional roles: a premium hospitality and events business, co-founded and built from the ground up in Hong Kong.

  • Co-founded and scaled the business to break-even within four months.
  • Grew market share by 50% in a competitive premium segment.
  • Built the members and events experience from zero, proving the model I bring to every community: design for belonging, then let the commercials follow.

Built a client experience function from the ground up inside private banking, where trust is the entire product.

  • Established the client experience discipline as a founding hire, translating relationship insight into service architecture for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Worked at the intersection of relationship managers, product and operations to make the experience consistent, considered and human at every touchpoint.
  • Carried the institutional standards of a top-tier bank into every later community I have built.

Twelve years building one of the world's most trusted media brands across a complex, multi-market region.

  • Led business development, partnerships and marketing across Asia Pacific for The New York Times.
  • Grew commercial and brand presence in markets that each demanded a different strategy, audience and partner set.
  • Learned to make a premium global brand land with local authority, the instinct that still shapes how I position everything.

How I work

The person behind the record.

A psychology degree sits underneath everything I do, and it shapes how I lead, facilitate and build.

I build for trust first. My method surfaces the real issue in a room quickly, the one beneath the polished version, and that is what lets senior leaders move to a decision.

I translate complexity into clarity. Give me a tangled proposition and I will give you back a structure people can act on, whether that is a member journey, a peer community, or a commercial model.

The technical specifics of a new sector can be learnt. The harder things, composure under pressure, resilience through change, and the instinct for what will earn trust, are what I bring on day one.

"I read what a specific market actually needs, then I build the right structure for it."

OneCalmSteadiness that holds a room and a plan through pressure.
TwoClarityCutting through noise to the decision that matters.
ThreeCreativityDesigning structures and moments others have not thought to build.
FourConnectionThe high-trust relationships that make everything else possible.

The Human 4Cs, my framework from The Art of Solitude, and the lens I bring to leadership and to AI.

Beyond the role

An independent body of work.

Author, framework-builder and founder. The same instinct for human-centred structure, expressed on my own terms.

The Art of Solitude

A book and a body of thought leadership on how calm, clarity, creativity and connection compound into better judgement. It gave me the Human 4Cs framework I now use in facilitation, speaking and executive work.

Human First AI

A psychology-led thought-leadership platform built around the human impact of AI and emerging technology. It puts people, not tooling, at the centre of how organisations adopt what comes next.

Where I create value

The work I do best.

My work sits where commercial strategy, general management and community meet. I own outcomes end to end, from the model on paper to the P&L that proves it, and I have done it as a founder, a director and a function-builder.

The through-line holds everywhere I have worked. Read the market, build the structure, earn the trust, grow the value. It carries into any sector, once the specifics of the business are learnt, and I learn them fast.
